What's the safest way to introduce a harness to a cat?

Use a slow, reward-based approach. Let your cat sniff the harness first. Then do short sessions where the harness is worn before gradually increase wear time over several days until your cat moves normally in the harness. Only then attach the leash. The first outdoor sessions should be short, in a quiet area, and end while your cat is still calm.
How long does it take to harness-train a cat?

Can I use my own leash with this harness?
