A leash and harness gives a cat safe access to the outdoors without the risks of free roaming.
- Controlled exploration and enrichment: lets your cat smell, watch, climb, and explore new environments safely, which can reduce boredom and stress.
- Gentle exercise: supports healthy weight and mobility through light, consistent movement, especially for indoor cats.
- Safer outings: enables supervised balcony time, garden time, and short walks without the danger of running into roads, dogs, fights, toxins, or getting lost.
- Lower escape risk during travel: adds a layer of control when moving between home and carrier, car to vet, hotel stays, or unfamiliar places.
- Training and confidence: helps nervous cats build confidence gradually through structured exposure, rather than sudden uncontrolled experiences.
Snug enough that the cat can’t back out, but not so tight it restricts breathing or rubs. Use a simple check: you should be able to fit 1–2 fingers under the harness at the chest, and the cat should move normally without chafing.
It varies. Most cats adapt in a few days, some take one to three weeks, and cautious cats can take longer. Progress is measured by relaxed behaviour and normal movement in the harness indoors before moving outdoors.
Use a slow, reward-based approach. Let your cat sniff the harness first. Then do short sessions where the harness is worn before gradually increase wear time over several days until your cat moves normally in the harness. Only then attach the leash.
The first outdoor sessions should be short, in a quiet area, and end while your cat is still calm.
Why Choose RoamReady™?
Make harness adventures a delight with a cat harness and leash that’s comfy, stylish, and safe.
Training-First Wearability
Structured for gradual indoor acclimatisation: first short wear sessions, then micro-outings and walks, hikes and more.
The goal is to reduce flopping and stress, so your cat builds comfort and confidence step by step.
With RoamReady, pet parents can turn harness time into a normal, easy part of everyday life.
Breahthable Air-Mesh Technology
Leash tension is distributed across the chest and shoulders, not the neck. That means safer control with less risk of choking or strain compared to a collar. Better for nervous cats that suddenly pull or spook.
Lightweight design helps cats acclimatise faster indoors before their first outing. Ideal for warm climates and longer wear.
Reflective Light Strips
Help your cat stay visible in low light, such as evenings, early mornings, and carparks. Adds a safety margin for outdoor time near roads or shared walkways.
4.9 ft / 1.5m long leash
The leash clip rotates to reduce twisting when your cat changes direction. Less tangling means smoother walks and fewer interruptions. Keeps tension predictable so cats stay calmer.
Safe for the Outdoors
Designed to keep even the wriggliest cats and kittens secure, with guidance on fit and leash positioning to help you feel confident heading outdoors together.

The Health Benefits Of Outdoor Roaming
In 2025, 33% of cat owners said their cats were overweight or living with obesity.
Outdoor environments allow cats to engage in natural hunting, climbing, and patrolling behaviors, which can reduce stress, alleviate boredom-related behavioral issues, and improve joint health.
Build it into your routine with short, daily play sessions. The American Veterinary Medical Association reports that just 15 minutes of light exercise each day can reduce the risk of obesity-related illnesses by up to 60%.
Easy On. Escape-Proof. The Perfect Fit. Always.
Getting ready for the outdoors shouldn't be a struggle.
RoamReady™ is designed to slip on easily, adjust quickly, and secure firmly in 60 seconds.
The four adjustable straps create a snug, custom fit without twisting or bunching, while the soft, breathable fabric keeps your cat comfortable from the first step.

Start with the leash attached indoors. When your cat is calm and moving normally, step into a very quiet, familiar space such as a hallway, patio, or balcony. Keep the first session under five minutes. Let your cat lead. Avoid pulling the leash. End early and return indoors calmly.
Yes, as long as the leash clip fits the harness attachment ring and the leash is lightweight. A lighter clip is usually more comfortable for cats and reduces swinging and tangles.
Yes. Treats are one of the most effective ways to build a positive association. Give treats while the harness is on, and stop treating when it comes off. This helps your cat learn that harness time predicts rewards.
Usually yes, but test it. Straps can bunch at the carrier opening, or pressure points can form if the harness is compressed. If the harness shifts or your cat looks uncomfortable, remove it and use the carrier alone.

It all started with: Friskie, the most curious of them all
This is Friskie. She was our first foster cat. She's curious, adventurous, and endlessly playful. One afternoon, she slipped through an open door and disappeared.
For 72 agonizing hours, we searched everywhere. We posted on social media, called shelters, and walked our neighborhood until our feet ached. When we finally found her shivering and terrified under our neighbor's porch, we realized something had to change. We couldn't be the only ones living in fear of losing a beloved pet.
We realized that pet owners shouldn't have to choose between their pet's freedom and their own peace of mind. So we set out to build the RoamReady™ harness and leash built for for comfort and durability, to keep her by our side when going out for walks.
